If the Routes tab in EZRouting shows no routes or displays routes with a red circle icon, it usually means:
- There are no active routes for the selected date, or
- The session or school is not correctly selected.
Quick Checks
Work through these in order; most issues are resolved at one of these steps.
1. Confirm the school session
Look at the school year/session banner at the top of EZRouting.
Make sure you are in the correct session (e.g., current school year, not a sandbox or prior year).
If needed, switch to the correct session and re‑check the student.
2. Check the date selected on the Routes tab
- Look at the date selected at the top of the Routes page.
- The Routes tab filters the routes list to display route details for the selected date only. Ensure the selected date corresponds to a date when routes are active.
- If needed, switch to the correct date and re-check the routes list.
3. Ensure there are no selected filter parameters that may be impacting displayed routes
- Look at the search box at the top of the page. Text appears in the box if there are any applied filters or search terms.
- Click the X next the the calendar icon to clear applied filters or search terms.
- If needed, reapply any necessary filters.
- If expected routes do not display after reapplying the filters, it is likely that the expected routes do not match the filter conditions. In this case, clear the filters again and either search for a route by name or locate the route(s) in the unfiltered list. If you are able to located the route(s) in the list, double check the route(s) setup to ensure the correct parameters are set to match the search/filter criteria you were using to locate the route(s) originally.
4. Check for calendar or exception settings
If your district uses calendars or special schedules:
Confirm that the date in question is not a non‑service day (weekend, holiday, teacher workday) for that route.
Check for any exceptions that would remove the trip for that date.
