EZRouting lets you save named backups — point-in-time snapshots of your routing data. Take a backup before a large change (such as a rollover, mass import, or batch edit) so you can restore your data if you need to undo the change.
Opening Backups
From the profile menu, go to Settings > Backups. You’ll see a list of existing backups, each with a Backup Name, a Description, and the date and time it was created.
Creating a backup
- On the Backups screen, click Add.
- Enter a Backup Name and a Description so you can identify the snapshot later (for example, “Before 2025–2026 rollover”).
- Click Save. The backup is added to the list with the current date and time.
To change only the name or description of an existing backup without creating a new one, use the Update name and description only option.
Restoring a backup
Select a backup from the list and click Restore to revert your data to that snapshot.
Important: Restoring replaces current data with the data from the backup. Consider taking a fresh backup of the current state first so you can return to it if needed.
Deleting a backup
Select a backup and click Delete to remove it from the list.
