Why do I see too many or duplicate students until I refresh?

Short Answer

Occasionally, the Students tab can initially show an inflated student count (including duplicates or incorrect statuses). A manual refresh or tab change forces the UI to reload the correct dataset.

Why This Happens

  • The initial load may use a cached or stale dataset.

  • A known behavior caused some customers to see thousands of students at login, which corrected itself after a refresh.

What You Can Do

  1. Use the built-in Refresh

    • Click Refresh in the Students tab immediately after logging in.

    • Confirm the count aligns with your expected total.

  2. Switch tabs

    • Navigate to another main tab (e.g., Routes) and then back to Students, which can also re-trigger loading.

  3. Clear browser cache (if it persists)

    • Log out, clear cache, then log back in with a fresh session.

When to Contact Support

If the student list:

  • Still shows incorrect counts after refresh + cache clear, or

  • Continues to fluctuate unexpectedly,

share:

  • Screenshots of “before refresh” and “after refresh”.

  • Approximate times and browser details.

Support can confirm whether a known fix applies or if additional investigation is needed.
