Create or Edit a School Record

Audience: Transportation admins and staff
Purpose: Add a new school or update an existing school’s core information.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Schools in the main menu.
  2. Click Add (+) to create a new school, or select an existing school to edit.
  3. Enter or update the following fields:
    • School Name (required)
    • School Code (short identifier)
    • Address (used for mapping and routing)
    • School Type (Elementary, Middle, High, etc.)
    • Bell Times (set the school AM and PM bell times)
    • Capacity (set a capacity for each grade level, if desired)
    • Contact (primary contact for the school)
    • Comments (include any relevant comments to be included on the school record)
    • User Defined Fields
  4. Click Save.

Tips

  • Use consistent naming and codes for easier reporting.
  • Verify addresses to ensure accurate geocoding.
