Audience: Transportation admins and staff
Purpose: Ensure stop locations are accurately geocoded for routing and mapping.
Steps
- Open Stops.
- Select the stop you wish to verify.
- Toggle Geocode Stop.
- Review suggested location on the map.
- To edit the pin location, select the first icon located next to the Latitude and Longitude fields to select a location directly on the map.
- Adjust pin position or manually enter Latitude and Longitude if needed.
- Click Save.
- Confirm updated coordinates display correctly.
Tips
- When manually entering geo coordinates it is best to utilize reputable mapping sites such as Google Maps or Bing Maps.
- If after selecting geo code coordinates on the map and choosing the third icon (red pin icon with check mark inside bubble) stops with this address will permanently be changed to the inputted geo coordinates.
