Audience: Transportation admins and staff
Purpose: Use the student list filters to quickly locate students by the first letter of their last name.
Steps
- Navigate to Students from the top menu.
- Select Filters > General > Last Name Starts With
- Type a letter to filter all students whose last names begin with that letter. To filter for a range Type the starting letter and the ending letter, separated by a dash (example: B-C)
- To return to the full list, simply delete the letters input into the search bar,
- Combine this with other filters (School, Grade, Session) for refined search results.
Tips
- Use Shift-click to select multiple letters (e.g., A–C).
- Combine alphabet filters with Search by Name for faster lookups.
- Search bar is a 'super search' therefore any letter or word put in the search field will generate all profiles that contain these letters or words. (i.e if last name is 'Wood' but 'Wood' is also part of a physical address, these results will also yield).
