Audience: Transportation admins and staff
Purpose: Remove inactive or duplicate student records safely.
Steps
To Delete a Student:
- Go to Students.
- Use search or filters to locate the student(s).
- Hover over the three dots to the right of the student record and click the Delete icon (a red trash can) on the toolbar.
- Click Yes icon to confirm the action.
- Check the audit log for status updates.
To Mark a Student as Inactive:
- Search for the student(s) in the search bar or filter options.
- Navigate to the Operations tab.
- Use the down arrow to select Batch Edit.
- Navigate to the Active Status down arrow and select Inactive.
- Ensure to select the green Save icon to confirm changes.
Tips
- Marking a student as inactive is reversible; deleting a student is permanent.
- Archive at the end of the school year before creating new sessions.
- To delete multiple students, go to the Students tab > filtering to desired students > Operations tab > Batch Edit > use the checkbox Delete Selected Students > select the green Save icon to confirm deletion.
- If the students are still being sent into the system via your SIS, they will reappear in the change requests as new students the next day. To ensure they stay removed from the system, they must also be removed from the SIS file.
