How to Use Workspaces

Workspaces are a new feature in EZRouting that allows you to view routing in a personalized environment. Your district may not have workspaces turned on.

Choose from specific schools, grades, depots, and/or Transportation Programs to create your own custom filter view. You can also save multiple workspaces for different projects.

This article details how to create and use workspaces.

How to Create A Workspace

In this example, a router for different elementary schools often helps with transportation at other schools. They have full admin access to EZRouting, but they need to have two separate workspaces: one for the elementary schools and one for the other schools.

Navigate to the Dashboard in EZRouting.

In the workspaces section, click the green +

Using the dropdown menus, select the filters for the workspace. Filters can be applied by schools, grades, depots, and or Transportation Programs.

Use the check boxes in each dropdown menu to build the filters. In this example, all elementary schools are selected.

The # of Students field will update based on the selected filters. Once you've selected all of the filters, click Create.

You'll then be prompted to name your workspace. We recommend naming it something descriptive. Once you've filled out the name field, click OK.

To apply the workspace, select it in the Workspace widget, then click Activate.
