Parent Portal settings are crucial to the correct functioning of your Parent Portal and EZA2B. We highly recommend contacting support for guidance before making any changes to your parent portal settings.
Your nightly sync from your student information system may affect the relationship between your parent portal and your routing site if you are allowing parents to submit change requests. If you are concerned about this relationship, please contact support for more information.
Select which School Years/Sessions parents can access in the Parent Portal (up to 2)
This setting allows you to control which school years or sessions parents have access to.
For example, if you are currently running routes for summer school, but preparing routes for the next school year, you may not want to restrict parent access to the next school year while allowing them to see the summer school routes.
Do not allow parents to submit change requests
Checking this box turns off the setting that allows parents to submit change requests in the parent portal or in EZA2B.
Parents can select a bus stop when submitting a transportation request
If you allow parents to submit change requests, checking this box allows them to request a specific stop that is already in your routing site.
Do not allow parents to submit new student requests
Checking this box disables parents' ability to submit requests for a new student.
Remove the auto-linked student from the parents' children list when the parent is no longer listed as a primary contact
This setting can only be used with the parent auto-link setting. Please contact the support team for assistance with this.

If you allow your parents to submit transportation requests through he portal or EZA2B, this will hide the option to select specific days for transportation, meaning they must request the same transportation for every day of the week.
Allow parents to see drivers' contact info
This allows parents to have access to their student's driver's contact information
Note to Parents
This allows you to type up a message for your parents that will display first in the parent portal.

This prevents parents from seeing bus schedule information for the selected school years/sessions. You are able to leave a note letting them know when the information will be available.
Remove the "From/To Other Site" option from the parent transportation request.
If you are allowing parents to request transportation, this limits where they can request transportation to/from, meaning they can only request transportation to and from their primary address for the student.
Disable Bustracker on EZA2B
This turns off the bus tracker tab in EZA2B.
Disable push notification when attendance record received
This setting turns off notifications for when a student is scanned on or off the bus.
Disable push notifications when buses enter notification zones
This setting turns off notifications for when a bus enters the default notification zone.
Show bus locations on the map
This turns on the location of the vehicles in the bus tracker app, allowing parents to see where the bus is on the route.
Show buses on the map only when they are inside of notification zones.
This limits the previous setting to showing the buses only once they are inside the student's default notification zone.
Default notification zone radius
This determines the maximum size of the notification zone parents can set for notifications. We recommend not making this too large, as it may prevent accurate notifications.
