Clone Route to Another School Session

The ‘clone routes’ function allows you to copy a route you have created from your current section to the default section or another sandbox. You can choose to clone all routes or clone select routes. Once you have made your selection, click the ‘clone routes’ button.

Sometimes, you might receive an error message like below saying the stops in the two sessions do not match. This is because the stops in two databases do not have the same properties like coordinate or checkbox properties. In this case, please check the stop details and make the stops under the two sessions the same. You can also use the clone stop function to clone these stop properties from one session to another, then the system will allow you to clone the route.

  • The Clone Routes function is another way for you to copy routes that you're currently using to another school year or sandbox.

Now, there are no routes under the 2022 Summer Session. We are going to clone routes from the 2020 to 2021 school year.

First, shift back to the 2020 to 2021 school year and go to the Routes tab.

Open the Operations menu, then click Clone Routes. Simply choose which school year or sandbox you want to copy your current routes to, and select which routes you want to clone.
