Magic Wand is a great tool to automatically generate tripstops and assignments. All you need to do is specify a group of students that you need to assign on the trip.

• For our clients who wish to create new routes and trips for the new school year, you can use our Magic Wand function to automatically generate trip stops and student assignments.

  To do this, go to your Routes tab and select a new route or a currently existing route.
  Next, create a new trip by clicking the plus sign to add a trip. Be sure to select the appropriate student filters for schools if needed.

  Now, click the plus sign under the trip to open the Add New Trip Stop / Assign Students menu.
  You should see a green Magic Wand button. Click this to allow the system to automatically generate a trip and assign students to their stops, including stops going to the appropriate school or schools.

  Please be patient, as this function may take a couple of minutes to find the optimal trip for your students.

  Make sure to select a number of students that is less than the capacity of the vehicle you are assigning. The system will generate results based on the students' transportation plans.

  Once the trip has been generated, you can edit it as needed—adjusting student assignments and/or trip stop order—and then click Save once you are happy with the results.
