School Years and Sessions can be added as needed. These are located in the personal icon, settings and then select School Years & Sessions from the general drop-down menu.
You can set up the date range of a school year from this page.
Sandboxes are a useful tool to help you experiment with testing out new routes without making changes to your current ones.
In the School Year & Sessions section of Settings, you can create new Sandboxes for specific school years. You can choose whether or not to copy Schools, Stops, Routes, and Bus Schedules from a previously created Sandbox or simply copy the stops and/or routes that are currently being used. With your new Sandbox created, you can experiment and test things as you wish and use functions that can only be used in a Sandbox like Auto Generate Routes and Auto Consolidate Trips If you eventually decide to, you can utilize those changes you’ve made in your Sandbox in your real Routes.

-
Click Add Sandbox to create a new sandbox.
-

Copy the current active stops and/or routes into the new sandbox.
-
Once your sandbox is created, you can freely experiment and test routing plans. Sandboxes give you access to tools that are only available in that environment, such as:
-
Auto-Generate Routes
-
Auto-Consolidate Trips
If you decide to apply the changes made in your sandbox to your live routing data, return to the School Year and Session page and click Reset Default to activate the routes from the sandbox.
